So we actually have a pretty good story, if you care to know it. If you do, keep reading.
I met Bobby on a dating site while I was in Michigan. He lived in Florida in The Villages — about a two-hour drive from my home in Palm Coast. We started talking on the phone for hours, and after I returned to Florida, we met for coffee. We really hit it off.
We visited each other a few times. Then, he came to see me and said he didn’t think it would work. The two-hour drive was just too much.
And honestly … I agreed. So, we said our goodbyes, and he headed home.
About twenty minutes later, my phone rang.
It was Bobby. He said,
“You’re not going to believe this, but I just got pulled over in Bunnell. They impounded my car and confiscated my driver’s license because my insurance didn’t show up in their system.”

So now he’s stranded in this little backwater town… and he asks me if I would drive him back to The Villages.
Which, by the way…
…was still same two-hour drive he had just broken up with me over.

I told him no at first… but eventually I agreed to drive him halfway.
Several weeks later he texted me and said, “Can you chat?”
“Sure.”
And the rest is … well, it’s our story.
